The Bible speaks a lot about our need to have Christ living and working in our hearts. For several months after I received Jesus, I grappled with the truth that He was in me. At first there wasn’t much evidence that He was in me but the Lord provided several preachers that focused on that wonderful truth. They brought messages that included many “Christ in us” passages from the Bible. And the Lord began blessing other people through me. THROUGH ME! What a joyful privilege!! Things were happening for which there could be no other logical explanation than that CHRIST WAS IN ME!! Some people with whom I had friendly relationships before Christ was in me wanted nothing to do with me after He came into me. At first I was fascinated by the IDEA that He was in me and it wasn’t long before I was thrilled that it was REALITY. I still get a thrill when I encounter what I call the “Christ in me” passages. Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be FILLED WITH ALL THE FULNESS OF GOD. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US,There are many things we can comprehend when we have Jesus in our hearts that we cannot comprehend otherwise. |
